Our world is darker this morning, a wonderful light is gone and heaven has gained an Angelic smile. Paula passed away yesterday afternoon with her Sister by her side. So many of us were fortunate to have met Paula, but Paula was loved even by those who only knew her through her work in the blogging world. Of course the love for her kitties, Sweet Praline, Beignet, Truffle and Brulee was always front and center.
Truffle and Brulee and gone to live with their breeder Terri, who told us yesterday that “her kitties are safely with me and adjusting better than expected. They will continue to be treated as Paula would want, with an abundance of love (and treats)”. Paula’s Sister-In-Law Susan tells us that Paula will be cremated and her ashes mixed with Sweet Praline’s and Beignet’s – to be spread in a beautiful spot. Susan also shared that Paula’s South Carolina blanket won’t leave her side.
Please keep Paula’s family in your thoughts and prayers. I will let you know when there is any information on funeral arrangements. The Blogosphere will always love you Paula, Godspeed.
I haven’t been around since January and just found out about Paula’s passing. I was shocked. Paula was one of my favorite bloggers and I loved hearing about her beautiful cats. I have no doubt that Paula was an angel on earth and her love for her furbabies ran deep. My prayers go out to Paula’s family and friends. Rest easy lovely, Paula.
As with so many, my life was blessed to have Paula in it. Whether the CWA, BlogPaws, the Cat Blogosphere or so many other places, she was always such a big part of it. I will miss her tremendously and my heart goes out to her family and friends who are mourning her loss.
Always so sad when someone we love leaves us so quickly. I applaud Paula on such a happy and wonderful life lived and lived so well. That she touched so many lives here on the cat blogosphere alone says volumes about her loving and gracious character. Bravo and great job Paula!
This just hurts my heart. Praying for her family and sweet Truffle and Brulee.
xoxo,
Bell Fur Zoo Mama & Tilda
So very sad and shocked to hear this. Rest in Peace, dear Paula xx
Beautiful photos. Thank you for posting them for those of us who weren’t able to meet Paula in person. In spirit, we met her daily through Cat Blogosphere and that always made our days brighter. Purrs and prayers to her family, friends, and gentle head bonks to Truffle and Brulee. Thank you, Paula, for all you did.

I’m so sad to hear about Paula’s sudden passing. She was such an impact in the blogging community. May she rest in peace.
We’re heartbroken by Paula’s passing. She was such a caring and wonderful person, and such an amazing friend to so many of us. Godspeed, Paula. You will be loved and remembered forever.
Paula was a Special Person in the Cat Blogosphere and we shall miss her greatly.
So sorry to hear of Paula’s passing. Our sympathies all around. We were honored just to know her for a short time.
A lovely tribute to Paula. Her loss hurts my heart. She was a warm, kind, and understanding person and the world needs her.
I’m just incredibly shocked and saddened by Paula’s passing. She was a wonderful person and a great friend. I had just spoken to her a few weeks prior and she had told me that she was feeling very blue. She had commented that she loved the audiobook that I did. Even when she was sad, she was friendly and helpful. Praying for peace and comfort for her family in this time.
Sudden, unexpected and heartbreaking. We lost a fine blogger and leader of the Cat Writers. I loved Paula’s voice and her quiet but firm focus on her direction and her love for her two girls. I am so glad the girls will be safe and OK but it is so wrong we lost a fine woman far too soon.
To Paula’s family, your losses have been too many. My love and condolences to you all.
Thank you, Ann, for these amazing images.
Tragic loss, gone much too soon. Terry your post was wonderful and your photo choices superb. Sending prayers of comfort and hugs to Paula’s friends and family during this most devastating and heartbreaking time. “May her memory be a blessing”
So sorry to hear this very sad news about Paula, our thoughts are with her family, kitties and many friends.

I know they are devastated.
May God grant Paula’s family and her friends, HIS strength, during this very difficult time.
Why do the sweetest ones have to go??? I was almost afraid to open this email, knowing it would contain this news. Thank you Terry for all you did. Though I never met Paula in person, I did have the pleasure of being on several zoom meetings with her since I was on the 2020 conference committee. Having never talked to Paula before I was struck by her gentle manner & scrumptuous southern accent. You really had to hear her talk-such a beautiful voice. Goodbye Paula, I will miss your presence here on this earth but am thankful for an end to your pain. My heart goes out to your family for I can imagine how you will be missed.
Dear Paula will be so missed by many, sending love and comforting thoughts to her family, at this sad and difficult time. And to her kitties, as well.
I’m sorry for your loss. I have no words.
Very sorry to hear this. Hugs for her cats, friends and family. Her joy came through and she will be missed. What a wonderful woman. Am so sorry. Rest in peace.
My deepest condolences to Paula’s family and friends.
This is a beautiful tribute. Godspeed, my friend. I am so heartbroken over this that it is difficult for me to find any more words.
The loss of a loved one, whether family or colleague, is always so very hard. Paula did so much in her life for cats, and others, that her true essence, that which makes her who she was, will move on to another. May her family of whatever kind, know she was much loved.
Gentle purrs
ERin
I am still shocked at this terribe turn of events. It just doesn;t seem possible.
God speed to Paula. Rest in peace, Friend. Deepest condolences to the family. We will all of us always miss Paula’s presence on the Cat Blogasphere. She was a mainstay of the site. She was a friend to many. I won’t ever forget you Paula. Never.
Oh Terry, this is beautiful and I’ve shared. Like many fellow bloggers, I got to know Paula at BlogPaws, CWA conferences etc. and it’s a huge shock and loss to our community. May she Rest In Peace and her memory be a blessing.
It’s hard to believe such a beautiful person is gone. Things happened so quickly. I hope she knew how much she was loved by all of us. I was so lucky to have met her. I can’t imagine not seeing her beautiful smile or her kitties or her family photos. Rest in peace dear friend.
What a pretty lady and she looks so happy. Our hearts ache for her family and friends. Godspeed, Miss Paula♥
Such a lovely tribute to a beautiful soul. I met Paula at two Blogpaws and experienced her kind, welcoming heart. She was loved by many and will truly be missed. I’m grateful her cats will be well taken care of too. Rest in peace, Paula.
The suddenness of Paula’s illness and the very short time she had make this nees so much more sad, for her family and for her friends. My deepest condolences to her family, most especially her father. The pictures are lovely, and the way we will all think of her. Rest in peace.
I’m so very sorry to learn of this latest angel who clearly impactly many in Blogville. Sending deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Sincerest Condolences to Paula’s family and friends on her tragic passing. It must be even more difficult because there was no time to say a proper goodbye. Paula’s good works will live on and continue to inspire others. May she rest peacefully knowing her life had meaning, and her beloved kitties are being cared for lovingly.
I first met Paula back when Catster was going strong. I blogged for Olde Furts Toot and Alex. My deepest sympathies to Paula’s family and friends. She was a lovely person who welcomed everyone in the blogosphere. Go Gamecocks!
The world is a dull place today without Paula’s vibrant beautiful spirit. I am heartbroken. I will miss you. It won’t be the same without pictures and stories of Truffle and Brûlée, without pictures of you and your dad at your beloved Gamecocks games. Without being able to talk Persians, or blogging, or life. Thank you for giving me confidence, for including me and Plush in the planners, for being a friend. Deep condolences to your family as the deal with your loss.
We have never met but through our furries, Praline and Momo we shared some lovely time.
Condolences to your family and kitties. You will be fondly remembered by present and past members of the cat blogosphere.
My prayers and deepest condolences to Paula’s family and friends. This is unbelievably sad, and while I only “knew” Paula through her blog and her Instagram account, she has been a “fixture” of the cat blogging world for so many years that it’s hard for me to fathom it without her.
Godspeed, Paula.
Paula,I am saddened by word of your passing. You brightened the world with your words, photos, and smile.
Snuggles and purrs from Maggie May, Suki Iaka “Princess Fluffybutt”) and thoughts for all that loved you and mourn your passing.

Oh, what a sad time for her family. We knew of Paula ony through the many who loved her and talked so often of her good works with animal and humans alike. Our thought are with you for this all too sudden tragedy.
Farewell Paula ~ we met, in Florida, again here in Maryland, we shared ups, we shared downs. Thankfully most often with laughter, sometimes a few tears. I’m honored to have known you, to have worked along side you. You left us too soon ~ sing with the angels now, your voice, your spirit, your smile and all you gave to so many will be remembered. Gentle prayers to your family as they go through the difficult journey ahead. God bless you, friend.
